Co-founders Jonathan Sharp & Mike Hostetler tell the appendTo story:
Jonathan Sharp and Mike Hostetler identified a need for training and support for jQuery to ensure programmers are getting the full value of this open-source library. “Open source” means there isn’t any single, “go-to” entity responsible for support. With all the efficiencies available using the power of jQuery, most IT department heads are interested, but are uncomfortable adopting its use until they have a support company they can rely on.
